Less than a mile from the Terrace Lakes Resort, golf, hot springs, hiking, and 4X4 trails are minutes from your door offering just what you need to enjoy your time away from it all without sacrificing convenience.

The space
Joyous Lane Lodge is a modern, farmhouse-style cabin located on nearly a full acre at the end of a quiet, private road. With an open floor plan, spacious covered deck, and featuring 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, this cabin is perfect for a family getaway or a weekend golf outing with friends.

Spend your time relaxing on the large deck while you watch deer and elk meander by, or drop down the hill to Terrace Lakes Resort and enjoy the 18-hole golf course, soothing geothermal pool, and restaurant and bar.

Just a short drive away you’ll have access to more of the beauty Idaho has to offer. Explore the abundant hiking and ATV trails, or go fishing or floating on the scenic Payette River — known for its world-class whitewater and featuring sections suitable for all skill and experience levels.

Other things to note
Winter access:

During the winter months, we highly recommend 4-wheel drive and carrying tire chains for your vehicle to access cabins in the Terrace Lakes subdivision. The road in and out of our property is fairly steep and can be slick if there is snow or ice on the ground.

Parking:

There is ample parking on the Joyous Lane Lodge property for your vehicles and any trailers that you may be towing with ATVs, golf carts, or other recreational vehicles.

Security cameras:

For your protection and the protection of our home, there are three security cameras on the exterior of the cabin, located in the following specific locations:

• North wall, facing toward driveway entrance
• West wall, facing toward west cabin entrance
• South wall, facing toward east cabin entrance

NOTE: These security cameras are to make us aware of unwanted visitors and for incident documentation, not to spy on our guests. Any tampering with the security system will result in additional fees charged to the guests, and can result in termination of the rental agreement and eviction from the property.

Wi-Fi:

Wi-Fi is free to Joyous Lane Lodge guests.

Heating:

Joyous Lane Lodge is equipped with individually operated baseboard heaters in every room of the house. When you arrive, turn the dial to your desired temperature in each room, as needed.

NOTE: Keep all items at least 3 feet away from the heaters to avoid a fire hazard. Guests are responsible for any damages that result from a fire or items placed too close to the heaters.

Air conditioning:

The upstairs bedrooms are equipped with remote-operated wall A/C units.

NOTE: Please return each remote to the bedside table upon check-out.

Fireplace:

You are welcome to use the fireplace. There is firewood located on the south side of the house for your use.

NOTE: Any damages to the fireplace or any damages caused by the fire, hot ashes or coals will result in an additional charge to the guests from the host.

TV:

This cabin features a 50” smart TV, equipped with several streaming apps including Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, ESPN, YouTube, and more. You are welcome to use the TV and log in to your personal accounts. Please remember to log out of your accounts prior to your check-out.

Linens and towels:

Extra towels and wash cloths are available in each of the bathrooms.

If you’re running low on clean towels or linens, feel free to use the washer and dryer in the downstairs bathroom.

Laundry:

The washer and dryer are available for your personal use and to wash any towels or linens that you would like to clean and reuse.

Laundry detergent is in the cabinet above the washer and dryer.

Septic system:

This cabin uses an individual septic system and not a traditional sewer. Please do not flush anything except toilet paper and natural human waste down the toilet — not even wipes, feminine hygiene products, or other “flushable” items.

Do not put any of the following items down the garbage disposal in the kitchen: bones, seeds, pits, coffee grinds, oils, fats, grease, eggshells, beans, rice, pasta, vegetable peels, non-food items.

Neighbors:

The property lines that separate our cabin from our neighbors are a bit ambiguous, so we ask that while you are at Joyous Lane Lodge, please be respectful of the neighboring houses and properties. We have great neighbors and want to keep it that way, so please respect their space.

Noise:

Quiet hours are between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.

Wildlife:

In addition to respecting our human neighbors, please also respect our wildlife neighbors who like to frequent the property. Deer and elk are common visitors, so please admire from a distance and do not disturb them.

Extra guests:

If you invite additional people to Joyous Lane Lodge during your stay, you are responsible for their actions.

Events and parties are not allowed, and no additional guests beyond those on the original reservation are allowed to stay overnight.

Damages and incidents:

If you break or damage anything, inform your host immediately. Guests who break or damage any items are subject to additional charges.

Forgotten personal items:

If you accidentally leave any personal items at Joyous Lane Lodge, one of your hosts will ship it back to you at your expense.

Check-out:

Check-out is at 11:00AM. We do not typically accommodate late check-out but can occasionally be flexible if our booking schedule and our cleaner’s schedule allows.

Check-out instructions:

To help our cleaners make sure Joyous Lane Lodge is ready for the next guests, please complete the following check-out instructions prior to your 11:00 AM departure:

• Remove all sheets and pillow cases from each bed that was used during your stay.

• Leave the comforters, mattress protectors, and pillows on the beds.

• Put one load of sheets in the washing machine and start it. Laundry detergent is located in the cabinet above the washer and dryer.

• Put the rest of the used linens and towels in the laundry baskets in the downstairs bathroom.

• Place any dirty dishes in the dishwasher, along with a dishwasher pod (located under the kitchen sink) and start it.

• Remove all perishables and personal belongings.

• Take all trash to the outside trash bin (located on the south side of the house by the firewood).

NOTE: Please do not put loose trash in the outside bin. All garbage must be bagged because we unload the bins by hand.

• Log out of any TV apps (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, etc.) that you logged in to during your stay.

• Return all remote controls (TV, upstairs A/C units) to where you first got them.

• Turn each room’s heater thermostat to 65.

• Turn each of the upstairs bedroom’s A/C units to 75 on “Energy Saver” mode in the summer.

• If outdoor furniture was moved, please return it to its original location.

• Close and lock all doors (including upstairs balcony) and windows.
